 Delegation of your Domain Name
Solution
To delegate your domain name or re-delegate your domain name you will need to have access to your username and password for TPP Internet's Online Management System. You will need to follow this process to update the name servers for your domain name
  • Log into your account at the main TPP web site
  • If you log in with just your domain name and password you will be presented with the form to view and update your name servers.
  • If you log in with a client username / password, search for the domain name then next to it from the drop down menu 'Edit Options' choose 'Edit Domain Name'
  • In either case your domain will be updated in the relevant registry
Things to know before you delegate a domain name
  • Depending on the domain name type, it can take 24-48 hours for the delegation to propagate. TPP Internet as registrar, sends your delegation almost immediately to the registry, propagation though is the process where all the name servers on the internet need to recognise the change you have made
  • For all domain names that TPP Internet support, you need at least two name servers (eg ns0.telstra.net and ns1.telstra.net). You can not delegate a domain name to only one name server
  • If you are updating the IP address of your name server, you need to contact our Customer Service Team to have these request completed.
